Jessica and Josh are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met. They are selfless, kind, mature, and they love to have fun (always my favourite trait in a bride and groom!)
I have recently been taking an online photography course and one of the questions I keep coming back to is 'Who is my "ideal" client?' While I was shooting this wedding, I couldn't help but keep thinking to myself, 'Jess and Josh are my ideal clients!!' Why, you may ask? Let me tell you:
Jess and Josh's wedding day was not perfect, at least from a wedding photographer's point of view. It was a little chilly, very foggy, sort of "brown" outside due to the time of year here in Ontario, and it got dark around 4:30pm which left very little time for portraits; HOWEVER, Jess and Josh made the most of the entire day. They were relaxed and patient, and they "went with the flow" when things didn't go exactly as planned. They were more concerned with enjoying themselves and building an amazing marriage than they were with having the picture perfect Pinterest-worthy wedding day - and I love that. I think we still got some amazing shots from their big day and we had a lovely time doing it.
...and the best part is they went to Great Wolf Lodge for their honeymoon - how awesome is that?!?! I think these two were made to be parents - can't wait for the newborn photos! ;)
Congratulations, Jess & Josh! May God bless you both immensely as you begin your new life together!
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
