{Martin Family}

This is my second year taking family photos for this lovely family.  The Martin's are so sweet and kind.  Their children are incredibly well-behaved and they are always up for some crazy photo ideas (like climbing that weird tree in the photo at the end of this post!)  Thanks for letting me capture some special moments with your family.  God bless you guys!

{Wilson Family}

This family session felt like a blast from the past.

Mr. Wilson, fondly referred to as "Wilson"..or I guess I should say, Jason, was my high school volleyball coach and his wife, Ms. Lane...(Monica..sorry I just can't call you that!) was also a teacher at the high school I attended for 4 fantastic years.

Wilson was more than a coach.  He was a mentor, role model, teacher, and friend.  My siblings often make fun of me for my high school years.  They tell me my teachers were my best friends...and though I wouldn't say they were my "best" friends, they certainly played a huge role in my life during those formative years.  Wilson was a huge reason why I went into teaching and an even bigger reason why I chose to play varsity volleyball in university and continue to play now as an adult.  Volleyball quickly became a culture in our high school and it was thanks to this man (and a few other incredible coaches - you know who you are).  He also coached my rep team for one year and went above and beyond to make our teams the best they could be.

Believe it or not, Curtis and I actually got married on the same day as this lovely couple!  Our children are also now close in age.  Perhaps some day they will have the privilege of playing volleyball together (or against each other!)

Wilson, you'll probably never know the impact you had on my life a short ten years ago.  I think of you and pray for you and your lovely wife and children often.  It was a true honour and privilege to take these photos for you.  I hope I did your family justice.  I'm thrilled to see your beautiful family and I wish you nothing but the best for many years to come!

"Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy!" Philippians 1:3-4

{Williams Family//Baby Lachlan}

It was another gorgeous Fall day for this family/newborn session.  I love Fall. I love Family.  And I especially love babies...so this was a great day for me! ;)

Congratulations, Kyle & Anya, on the birth of your handsome little man!  My favourite part of a newborn session is taking the individual photos of the baby because while I snap away, I silently pray over his/her little life.  My prayer for Lachlan is that He would learn to hear the voice of His heavenly Father and choose to follow Him all the days of his life.  God bless you, Lachlan.
